20th August 2015

Kingswood Academy yesterday celebrated their best ever GCSE results with the number of students achieving good GCSE results continuing to rise. Results in subjects across the Academy have continued to improve; with significant highlights being performance in Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Modern Foreign Languages, Art and BTEC Sport.

The leadership and Governance of the school were also particularly pleased with the increased number of students achieving higher GCSE grades, with some students achieving straight A* or A grades in all subjects for the first time ever in the Academy’s history. Subjects which deserve a mention for performing particularly well with higher achievers were Mathematics, Science, Art and Music.

A group of students who joined Kingswood Academy with English as an additional language also deserve a special mention for working extremely hard with the EAL team and making rapid progress to achieve A*-A grades in English and Art.

The new Principal, Mr. Jackson would like to congratulate all students on their fantastic achievements this year, and he is looking forward to another successful year at Kingswood.

Cameron Redmore who got 2A*s, 5As and 2B Grades. Sarah Magaharan who got 8A*s and 3A Grades
