Homework Information

At Kingswood Academy homework is used to extend learning outside the classroom by accelerating achievement and promoting independent learning.

We believe that homework:

  • Increases the amount of study time therefore making students more likely to succeed.
  • Gives students the opportunity to develop their independent learning skills.
  • Allows students to access a wider breadth of resources and materials.
  • Allows students to practise and consolidate skills learnt in the classroom.
  • Helps students learn how to manage their time effectively in preparation for GCSE.

We use Show My Homework to set our students' homework regularly. This is a website which allows students, parents and teachers to track the homework being set and received; allowing us to work together to ensure the educational success of your child.
